Clutches

The clutch used on a particular truck depends on the type of compressor selected from an option list when the truck was first assembled. For whatever reason, a truck originally equipped with a reciprocating compressor may now be using a rotary type or possibly a single groove clutch has been replaced with a double.

It is important to identify the compressor the clutch is to be used on, and the characteristics or specifications of the current clutch.

If possible check for label or stamped numbers on the clutch body or the coil assembly to identify the clutch. If the clutch marking or lable is illegible, the following information will be needed.
